Final Fantasy XIV has over 1.5 million accounts

After managing to crack the top ten NPD list for its late August launch, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has now passed the 1.5 million registered users milestone. Many will remember the original Final Fantasy XIV launch, which garnered no love for myriad reasons.

Between the middling Final Fantasy XIII, its sequel, and Final Fantasy XIV's horrendous launch, the series' name has been dragged through the mud to say the least. It's nice then, to see that even the missteps can be salvaged.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will also be released in 2014 for the PlayStation 4.
