Final Fantasy V OST also gets remastered, coming soon

Remastered tracks, artwork by Yoshitaka Amano

Similar to the re-release treatment that the Final Fantasy IV soundtrack will be getting this coming July, Square Enix has announced details for the Final Fantasy V Original Sound Track Remaster Version. While it won't be as spectacular as the Final Fantasy IV re-issue, which boasts additional loops and spans an extra disc, the album will still contain remastered music and feature a fancy box illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano for first-press editions.

CD Japan is currently listing the two-disc album for 3,048 Yen ($30 USD... that exchange rate just keeps on sliding!) with a release date of August 7, 2013.

That just leaves details regarding the Final Fantasy VI Original Sound Track Remaster Version left to reveal. I'll be looking forward to that, but in the meantime, I'm counting the days until the FFIV album is released!

Chime in and let us know your favorite moments from the Final Fantasy V soundtrack. Will you be picking this one up?
