Anyone that was originally excited when we told you about Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War coming to the PlayStation Portable probably still is. And those that are newly conflicted because of this and are now thinking about breaking down and buying a PSP probably still are. I don’t know if the new Japanese television commercial will help settle things for those people, but we’ll put it up anyway and let you wrestle with the idea a little more.
Just being able to tote around the Square masterpiece that we fell in love with about 10 years ago would be great, but seeing (and hearing) it reworked like this is getting fans hot under the collar. The video doesn’t show much in the way of game footage, but there’s just enough to get excited. The music in this commercial is thought to be the game’s opening introduction music – I don’t know how much has been redone from the original, but this sounds incredible.
Japanese will get their hands on this title on May 10th and a domestic release cannot come soon enough. So, did you get your PSP yet?
