Final Fantasy composer joins SRPG Unsung Story

Developer for Vagrant Story and Tactics Ogre working on new game

Unsung Story is the new turn-based strategy RPG from Yasumi Matsuno (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII). Also signed on is artist Akihiko Yoshida (FFTVagrant Story, Bravely Default).

One of the Kickstarter's stretch goals was for composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, who scored Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII. The project, which has $100,000 left to fund with 3 days to go, doesn't seem to be hitting that stretch goal, but Sakimoto has signed on anyway, they've announced.

Interestingly, they noted that he's on, "regardless on how the Kickstarter turns out," which inspires a bit more faith in the concept-heavy project; that it will continue regardless of Kickstarter success. It sounds great and I'd love to play it.
