Fatality: Mortal Kombat II disappears from PSN

The best game to ever grace arcades, Mortal Kombat II, has apparently gone missing in the PlayStation Store. Users on the official PlayStation forum are reporting the title has been delisted both from the store and their download history, thus making downloading impossible.

The trailer for the coin-op hit is still present on the network, despite its new missing status. Interestingly, the title has yet to be removed from European users’ lists, which indicates the situation is probably the result of a glitch. Users reporting the problem are being met with several different answers from both Midway and Sony at this time.

This situation hits at an unfortunate moment considering most people looking for the title are seeking to celebrate Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe‘s imminent release. Mortal Kombat II also proudly features Johnny Cage, easily the best character in a fighting game ever. MK II also introduced Mileena, the worst character ever created in a fighting game.
