Fat Princess patch includes two free maps

Recommended Videos

We have to give props where props are due: Titan Studios (and now Atomic Operations) has been great about pumping out new content for Fat Princess, something you don’t always see on the console side of the industry. And it makes sense, too; it’s wise to keep the brand fresh on our minds with the PSP spin-off Fistful of Cake still on the way.

Enough of that talk — you came for the freebies, right? Two new winter-themed maps, Frost Bite and Candy Mountain, launched today. Candy Mountain reminds me of the board game Candy Land (the good one, not the newer one with updated art) and for that, I am grateful.

Beyond the maps, a few tweaks were thrown into the patch:

  • Warrior: Fixed to disallow shield activation when carrying objects, as well as attenuating damage against lava and drowning
  • Ice Mage: Changed level 1 area attack to slow enemies, not freeze them
  • Soccer map: Disabled online score saving for this level

Nice! Excuse me, I’ve got some serious Candy Land-related business to attend to.
