Fantasy Life i Digital Deluxe Edition – Is it worth it?

To upgrade or not to upgrade?

When you’re first purchasing Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll have to decide whether to stick with the regular version or purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition. It’s a decently costly upgrade, so making this choice can be a bit tricky.

It’s a lot easier to make this choice if you know exactly what this version grants you and whether it has any big gameplay effects. If you’re stumped by this decision, here’s whether or not the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i is worth it.

The Digital Deluxe version of Fantasy Life i isn’t really worth the price, as nothing it includes is really a must-have. It comes with some fairly cool cosmetics, but nothing that drastically alters your gameplay experience. If you enjoy extra customization and detail, you’ll like this pack, but if you’re looking for massive gameplay effects, you can easily skip this DLC.

What does the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i include?

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i comes with three types of items, which are a mount, some weapons, and some clothing items. In total, you unlock 11 unique assets with this upgrade. All of the items you get are as follows.

  • Exclusive Mini Napdragon Mount
  • Exclusive Napdragon Battle Weapons including the Napdragon Sword, Napdragon Claymore, Napdragon Bow, and Napdragon Staff
  • Exclusive Iconic Outfit Pack including:
    • Yuelia’s outfit – Ethereal Girl’s Dress and Ethereal Girl’s Sandals
    • Edward’s outfit – Archaeologist’s Hat, Archaeologist’s Coat, and Archaeologist’s Boots
    • Trip’s outfit- Trip’s Headgear

How much does the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i cost?

The price of the Digital Deluxe Edition varies depending on whether you buy it from the start or purchase it after already buying the game. On its own, this DLC costs $13.99, while the version of the game that includes it can be purchased for $69.99, making it slightly discounted at only $10 if you grab it from the start.

Should you get the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i?

Whether or not the Digital Deluxe Edition of Fantasy Life i is worth buying ultimately comes down to personal preference. I don’t think it’s a must-have pack by any means, but I do enjoy the assets it includes, especially the Napdragon Mount, Yuelia’s outfit, and Edward’s outfit. There are plenty of other mounts and clothes you can get, though, so these items aren’t necessities, just fun add-ons.

All of the items are fun, but not necessary. I’d be fine without them, so it’s only worth getting if you’re specifically interested in unlocking the exclusive cosmetics it includes. If you’re still unsure whether it’s worth it, I recommend playing for a bit to see if you enjoy the game before buying the upgrade. If you’re having a blast and enjoying everything it offers, you’ll like the extra upgrades the Digital Deluxe Edition offers.
