Fallout 3’s Special Edition Pip-Boy clock draws user complaints

You may remember seeing this Pip-Boy clock a few months back as part of the Fallout 3 Survival Edition package, which was a little rich for some gamers’ tastes at $130. Still, a lot of people did buy it, and those people are starting to speak out about it — in specific, the clock, which sounds a little bit as if it was made in Taiwan by five year old slaves.

Posts have started to pop up on Bethesda’s forums about the clock’s faults, which seem to range from messy paint and scratches to total failure to operate straight out of the box or after a few days time. The clock does come with a warranty card, but — get this — you have to pay for the clock to be repaired AND you have to pay $10 for return shipping. Classy, right?

One customer’s contact with Amazon results in their offer to refund the paying price, but that doesn’t do much for fans who want what they should have gotten in the firsrt place — a working clock. Although if you have a sense of humor, the broken clock is probably fitting as a relic of the Fallout 3 universe.Have you had any trouble with yours?
