If you boot up Mass Effect 2 right now, you’ll see a noteworthy message from the Cerberus Daily News on the main menu. (You know, the thing with scrolling text on the right of your screen. That!)
The daily content updates are coming to a close on January 24, excluding a week of posts leading up to “a downloadable content release” and an additional two weeks that lead into Mass Effect 3‘s launch. So, more add-on content is on the way later this year.
Previously, BioWare talked about DLC bridging ME2 and ME3 — there’s a decent chance this could be that exact content, assuming the studio’s plans haven’t changed in recent months. Here’s hoping for something substantial.
