E3: Tag team Gorn in Star Trek

0

There are a lot of good antagonists in the Star Trek universe, most notably the Klingon Empire and the Borg Collective. But ever since William Shatner dodged polystyrene rocks being thrown by a man in a lizard suit, people have had a thing for the Gorn. The Gorn Hegemony once controlled a massive empire, and in Star Trek the videogame, they are trying to get back to the good ol' days. It ends up being Kirk and Spock who have to put an end to their villainy in a co-operative fashion.

The Federation buddies will face a variety of Gorn adversaries with different strengths, from females who can climb walls, to venomous warriors. I love those moody lizard folk, so I'm looking forward to having all manner of rocks and other heavy objects flung at me.

Chris Pines and Zachary Quinto will be reprising their roles from the 2009 film, playing Captain James T Kirk and Mr. Spock respectively. Let's hope their chemistry is retained. The rest of the bridge crew will also be depicted, with Uhura, Sulu, Chekov, Scotty and Bones all being featured. There's more information on the new Star Trek website and Twitter feed.
