DSi sells half a million units in November

Even though we’re on the third iteration of Nintendo’s two-screened portable, gamers are still buying it like it was the hottest, newest thing.

In Japan, during the month of November, gamers snapped up 535,379 DSi units, says GamesIndustry. This number was just short of the DS Lite’s first month numbers of 550,000. The total number of DS platform consoles sold? 24,239,590. Wow.

I wonder how the first-week US DSi sales will compare. I’m quite interested in the Nintendo DSi shop (shown above). There’s not much on the Japanese version of the site now, but knowing Nintendo, the good stuff is coming.
