Wizards of the Coast and SOE are partnering to take the classic paper game Magic: The Gathering in an unexpected videogame direction — 3D strategy. We’re sure the cards will still have a role in Magic: The Gathering Tactics, but the above teaser suggests that this is the full-blown 3D realization that dorks have been thinking about since they purchased their first Goat card or collected that full set of foiled Lands.
The PC and PS3-bound title was announced yesterday afternoon, but we missed a spot in our coverage. Above is a teaser for the game, revealing a hair or two less than the announcement did. Still, there’s a dragon in it, as well as epic music, making it worth your time if you’re a fan.
