Dragon Rising DLC announced, detailed, and dated

Developer Codemasters is dishing out more Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising content on the morrow with the release of an expansion pack and a patch for all three platforms.

The expansion, dubbed “Skirmish,” delivers four new multiplayer maps, of which includes two Infiltration mode maps — the so-called sizeable complex, Lumberyard, and White Fang — as well as two new Annihilation mode maps: the rolling green of Stomping Grounds and base-heavy Force Dispersal.

The DLC also adds two new Fire Team Engagement missions called All Round Defense and Uphill Struggle. The teaser above should give you a sense of the mean helicopter, base-capturing awesomeness of these new FTEs, we’re sure.

In the official release, Codemasters went skimpy with the details of the upcoming downloadable band-aid, the patch, but its mentioned that it was created because of pissed off consumers like you (and members of their message board).

The “Skirmish” DLC is a 400 Microsoft Points download over Xbox LIVE, a $3.99 purchase over PSN, and free for the PC.
