PSA: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Switch has a mumble mode, but you need to download it

Think of it like a free DLC pack

Mumble mode [gibberish talk] is in with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but you need to manually grab it from the Nintendo storefront on Switch. Consider this a PSA, as I’ve seen multiple people bring this up in conversation asking if it exists on Switch: it does!

Remember all those “dialogue packs” that 2010s games would be littered with as “optional downloads?” Well, it’s kind of like that. While all other platforms have the mode in by default, the Switch has it via a download pack. It’s not super obvious as the game doesn’t advertise this in any way, and there are tons of folks who have asked me if the Switch has the mode: so I figured a PSA was necessary.

You can find a direct link to the download below, as well as some instructions on how to enable it on other platforms. Note that because it’s technically included, it is a free download on Switch.

How to enable Mumble Mode on other platforms:

  • Head to the extras portion of the pause menu
  • Go to Datacards, then toggle Mumble mode on or off
