Disaster Report dev's next game: Survive an Ultraman-Godzilla battle

Unnatural disaster

Following the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan in 2011, Disaster Report 4 was delayed and then cancelled. Series creator Kazuma Kujo eventually left developer Irem, started Granzella, and acquired the rights to the franchise in order to make Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories.

But Granzella is also working with Bandai Namco on another PS4 and Vita game about navigating calamity, City Shrouded in Shadow.

Instead of natural disaster happening all around you, it's a giant Ultraman wrecking up the place. And is that Godzilla's shadow? Pretty great idea. It's like the Alien: Isolation of disaster games. No, that makes no sense. But I like games where there are things much bigger than you that you must overcome. And not just a large boss easily dispatched. Real daunting shit.
