On DES: Riot Games' Mark Merrill: We will release new games every decade

Detective Pikachu is the newest confirmed Nintendo amiibo in months

The Shovel Knight three-pack is the only other current offering

Nintendo has really ramped down when it comes to amiibo announcements. After a giant salvo of characters at E3 and their subsequent release a few months later, the amiibo market is basically at a standstill. Yacht Club Games has their Shovel Knight three-pack currently available for pre-order, but that's really it -- until now.

By way of their Detective Pikachu project, Nintendo just confirmed the existence of a Detective Pikachu amiibo, which will unlock in-game hints. The figure will launch on March 23 in Japan, North America, and Europe alongside of the game.

Now I can add it to my giant running list!
