Destructoid's E3 2012 Community Choice Award winnner!

After a week of debating and vote-casting, we're ready to unveil your pick for Destructoid's E3 2012 Community Choice Award!

And the winner is...

Watch Dogs!

I wish I could say it was a hard-fought battle, but this one wasn't even close. Garnering nearly a third of your votes, Ubisoft's newest IP left a lasting impression on all who gazed upon its glory.

And what's not to love? The near-future setting offered gorgeous, bustling streets and gnarly, high-tech gadgetry. The meticulous, part Assassin's Creed, part Hitman-style gameplay was a welcome respite from an otherwise gore-soaked conference. Clearly you people were in the mood for something a bit different, and Watch Dogs answered your call!

So congratulations to Ubisoft and Watch Dogs, Destructoid's E3 2012 Community Choice Award winner!

We'd also like to congratulate our runners up, as every game in this list had an excellent showing this year:

  • The Last of Us
  • Pikmin 3
  • PlanetSide 2
  • Halo 4
  • Assassin's Creed III
  • ZombiU
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth
  • Tomb Raider
  • Dishonored

Check back later today for the official E3 award winner reveals.
