Destiny's Cayde-6 will be voiced by Nolan North in the upcoming Destiny 2: Forsaken DLC

Nolan does Nathan

In the upcoming Destiny 2: Forsaken DLC, it seems that Nathan Fillion will not be returning to the role of Cayde-6. Speaking with Kotaku's Jason Schreier, Fillion revealed that Nolan North (Uncharted's Nathan Drake) will be stepping in to fill the role for Cayde's final appearance in the Destiny universe. The reason for that was down to scheduling conflicts, though Fillion doesn't believe Cayde is truly gone.

"I wasn't available for this last installment - it's not me doing the voice for Cayde-6. In a wonderful, amazing turn of events - it's actually Nolan North," Fillion delightfully explains. "Unfortunately these things don't work out and it's a little bit heartbreaking but if it has to go to someone else, then thank god it goes to someone I absolutely love and the fans love - the character was in good hands."

It just seems so oddly perfect after yesterday's release of Nathan Fillion's Uncharted fan film. While I doubt Fillion would ever replace North in Naughty Dog's franchise, I could see him doing the role in a potential film. The two are like shades of each other, so I'm still waiting for the dream team up where we get to see Nathan Drake alongside Malcolm Reynolds.
