Here’s a brand new trailer for Dead Space Downfall, the animated prequel for EA’s upcoming third-person action horror game Dead Space. The movie focuses on the colonists that uncover a mysterious alien relic and their subsequently violent deaths once it starts mutating them all into bloodthirsty Xenomorphs — providing yet another example of curiosity killing the cat.
When I was watching the trailer I couldn’t help but think that the visuals closely resembled that of the recent Hellboy animated films (Sword of Storms, Blood and Iron) and, sure enough, both were drawn by same folks over at Film Roman.
Dead Space Downfall will be coming out on DVD and Blu-ray sometime around Dead Space’s Halloween release. Will you be watching this to get the “full” Dead Space experience or will you be happy with whatever back story is provided in-game?
