DDO: Eberron Unlimited delayed, hits in September

Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited will not release in August as expected. Earlier yesterday afternoon, Turbine Inc., announced that the digital upgrade to the MMO will launch on September 9th. Somewhere, in a dark corner of a furnished basement, a young boy is crying.

“Eberron Unlimited” twists the pay structure of DDO. Instead of the traditional monthly payment, the digital upgrade allows players to experience the game for free and also gives them the option of paying for select items or creating a VIP account that shovels them a steady stream of Turbine Space Bucks to spend in the game.

The delay of the release is polish-related. In the official release DDO executive producer Fernanado Paiz said, “We feel that more time is needed to deliver on this commitment.  As a result, we are delaying our launch to ensure that we can support the massive increase in players that we are expecting and deliver them a free to play experience like none other.”

Hold on to your butts, MMO fans. DDO: Eberron Unlimited is still going to happen.
