Cyberpunk 2077 will be 'huge,' 'much greater' than The Witcher 3

And Mexico's gonna pay for it!

That plucky The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt couldn't contain its enthusiasm for its upcoming PC/Xbox One/PS4 project, the long-teased Cyberpunk 2077. And it's not like this enthusiasm was unbound in an interview or developer dairy. Nah, this was President Adam Kiciński and Studio Head Adam Badowski unfettered in a dang 2015 financial results conference, according to Dual Shockers.

Because of The Witcher 3's success, Cyberpunk 2077 must be, "even better, even bigger, even more revolutionary," which echoes claims from last year that the RPG would be, "far, far bigger than The Witcher 3." Despite rumbling we might get 2077 by the end of 2016, CD Projekt has "a lot to do." It's worth noting that the CD Projekt-provided English translation that Dual Shockers is reporting said 2077 is, "a long ways away from the premiere," but a Polish speaker who was listening in says CD Projekt might've actually said that we aren't a long ways from the premiere.

Kiciński's "amazingly large ambitions" for Cyberpunk 2077 extend to CD Projekt as a whole. He wants the studio to expand from 400 employees to 800 employees, divvied up into four teams, some of which would focus on, "penetrat[ing] new gaming segments." He also noted that "between 2017 and 2021" the studio has two major games -- Cyberpunk and another, unannounced blockbuster RPG -- and some other unannounced projects. Because of the response (critical and sales, I assume) to Witcher 3, CD Projekt is not looking to change or worried about it's long development cycles, either, which is nice. Don't go Ubi'ing up the place.
