Remember that killer-looking side-scroller Explodemon! set to hit PC, PlayStation Network, and WiiWare? Well, it’s apparently making its way to the PSP and PSPGo, by way of digital distribution in Q4 2009.
The game’s developer, Curve Studios, is already familiar with the PlayStation Network or the PlayStation Portable — it’s developed a number of successful Buzz! titles for Sony’s handheld. Curve’s Managing Director, Jason Perkins, feels the digital distribution method being pushed by PSPgo presents a great opportunity for the studio to push its own IPs to gamers.
“I’m thrilled to be bringing Explodemon! to the PSP,” he says. “We think its combination of classic platforming action and high degree of replayability make it the perfect handheld title.
Additionally, Curve says it has “a number of other remarkable titles in production” for 2010. If any of them look half as cool as Explodemon!, I’d say they’re in pretty good shape for the future.
