Console versions of Risen 2 hit with a delay

Recommended Videos

The PC release of Risen 2: Dark Waters is nearly upon us and it’s being followed, for once, by the console versions rather than the other way around. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions was originally slated for late May, but Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes are pushing that date back to July 31, 2012 in North America and August 3, 2012 in Europe.

This delay is what it is, but there’s a touch of good news as well. Extra content — a sub-plot called “The Air Temple” — will be included in Risen 2 on consoles. A few more hours of gameplay? Sure, we’ll take it. The PC version is unaffected and will launch on April 27 as expected. Our review goes up early next week.
