Comic the Jumper: the second art style revealed

Recommended Videos

Continuing its stream of reveals, The Maw creator Twisted Pixel is now showing off the inspiration behind the second (of five) different comic book styles set to be in the game — and boy does it get our Greatsword hands all sweaty.

If you peeked (you did, right?) you’ll notice that the style of the second set draws inspiration from 1970s comics, particularly in the painted art style of Frank Frazetta who did some amazing Conan the Barbarian covers on top of many, many comic covers throughout the last few decades.

Right. So in addition to being completely different from the first act’s style, this second act in the game will also sport new assets, story elements, and a different composer. We’ve got zilch on the gameplay-side, but at least you can check out the gallery for a taste of what to come. Also: Eat it, Comix Zone.
