Civilization V goes classy with its special edition

Now granted, “classy” isn’t the first word that pops into my mind when I see little metal men — in fact, it would probably be one of the last descriptors to come up — but look at that slick art for the box/book/CD covers. I can picture an aged gentleman smoking a pipe by the fireplace while eying it thoughtfully.

When Civilization V journeys to retail outlets on September 21, you’ll have the opportunity to get the $99.99 version in North America. Quite a jump in price, isn’t it? This is what the extra cash gets you:

• 5 metal figurines by Reaper Miniatures
• A 2-disc CD soundtrack
• A behind-the-scenes DVD (oh joy!)
• Most importantly, a 176-page hardcover art book

I for one will be respectfully passing on it. I dig Civilization, just not that much. Where do you stand?
