Circuit Superstars is a throwback racer coming from Square Enix Collective

Mind that pole position

Square Enix's E3 2019 conference wasn't all JRPG goodness. The company showed a number of Square Enix Collective titles, one of which was Circuit Superstars, a throwback to the days of top-down racing.

"The game features a dynamic driving system that’s simple to learn, yet deep and rewarding. That means you can focus on the most exciting aspects of the sport: mastering new tracks, battling wheel-to-wheel for the chequered flag, managing wear and tear, and building your pit strategy."

During the stream we got a quick word from Original Fire Games, the "family of motorsport fans from Mexico" heading up the game. It's coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2020.
