Check out Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in action

While we don’t advocate it, we sure won’t complain when a sneaky someone leaks some footage of a highly-anticipated game. This time it’s Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which promises to be one of Sony’s flagship PlayStation 3 games for 2009.

The footage after the jump is low-resolution and the camera is shaky, but there’s enough here to get fans of the original all hot and bothered. Surprisingly, even given the visual limitations of this amateur off-screen video job, the game looks damned good. The above screen grabbed from the video above doesn’t quite do it justice; it’s the animation, the life in the environments that give should make you take notice. Oh, and a really God damned cool gunfight.

I’ve seen Uncharted 2 in action first-hand, and I can say that this video doesn’t do the game justice — final judgments on visuals shouldn’t be made based on this, of course. Trust me, it looks stellar in person. It should only whet your appetite for more info, screens, and videos of the game, which we’ll be seeing more of in the coming months.
