Dark Void: Zero was a pretty fun game and it had a really good 8-bit soundtrack by Bear McCreary, which only made it more awesome. The Capcom-Unity guys spotted this remix of the game’s first level made by a Screwattack user named Altair0115.

I dig the track, myself. It sounds closer to the sound chip on the Commodore 64 than something the NES would have produced and is pretty polished.

I still haven’t finished Dark Void: Zero, myself. The game is supposed to be short, but the levels combined with the difficulty makes each stage feel like it takes a very long time and I haven’t been able to convince myself to commit. I’m not really bothered by the difficulty so much as how much longer it takes me to accomplish anything because of it.
