Developer Cryptic Studios is teasing a content update for Champions Online. Dubbed “Blood Moon,” the October-bound content adds the villain Takofanes, an ancient Egyptian-themed skeleton who controls an army of the undead. According to the teaser splash Web page, Takofanes will be accompanied by an undead horde, which includes zombies, undead heroes, and, uh, not-so-undead werewolves.
The enemies come with a twist. If players fall to a Takofanes’ zombie or werewolve, they will become one. This is respectively, of course. Cryptic doesn’t want to melt minds by allowing players to become zombie-werewolves.
A new super powerset, called Celestial, is to be introduced in addition to the new enemies. According to Eurogamer, the Celstial has two power branches — the Seraphim is all about buffs, and the Nephilim is an offensive set.
In summary: Cryptic Studios is adding at least one more skeleton to Champions Online
