Cephalo-parenting returns in Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Recommended Videos

Last year, the original Octodad was a free indie game that gave players the chance to see how hard life can be for a octopus in a mammal’s world. It showed us how difficult it can be to put that last wine glass into the sink when you have no bones. The same team, now calling themselves Young Horses, have released the first trailer of the sequel, Octodad: Dadliest Catch.

In Octodad: Dadliest Catch, our floppy protagonist must survive a trip to the local aquarium while finding a way to quell his wife’s growing suspicions. From the cinematics in the trailer, it looks like Octodad has gained a lot more personality just through his facial expressions. So far, Young Horses have stated 2013 as a release date, but if you’re looking for some more Octodad to tide you over, the developer’s blog has a bunch of comics and some behind the scenes posts to check out. I love weird and wacky games, and this is one that I’m keeping an eye on.
