Carrier Command: Gaea Mission getting episodic prelude

With it’s sleek HD visuals Carrier Command: Gaea Mission doesn’t seem to bear much resemblance to the game I played on an old MS DOS machine back in the early nineties, but I suppose that’s to be expected when you’re resurrecting a series that’s remained relatively untouched for nearly two and a half decades.

Rising Star Games and Bohemia Interactive are releasing a series of episodic mini-games as a prelude to Gaea Mission in hopes of getting people interested in the final product. Titled Carrier Command: Recruits,  the first episode “Head Hunter” puts players in the role of an analyst in the process of recruitment.

Having tried my hand at Recruits,  now available via the title’s official website, I can safely say that Gaea Mission‘s trailer has me much more excited than this themed take on Minesweeper. However, dedicated players who complete an episode an share via Facebook or Twitter before August 20th will have the opportunity to win a digital copy of Gaea Mission on PC and earn access to the beta.
