Capcom has confirmed the new Resident Evil 2 will be a "from the ground up remake" and not a remaster.
Although the publisher's investor report stated that the game would be a "remastered" version of the classic survival horror game, Capcom UK's senior marketing director Stuart Turner said that it had been a "mistranslation."
"Seems to be a few people picking up a mistranslation in our own investor report," Turner tweeted. "RE2 will be a full from the ground up remake NOT a remaster."
