Buy a copy of Minecraft, get a second one free

Minecraft designer Markus Persson is getting married, and to celebrate, Mojang has a promotion running this weekend where everyone who buys the game will get a second, giftable copy for a loved one. Alternatively, you could give a code to an enemy, resulting in them getting hooked on Minecraft and becoming incredibly unproductive.

In related virtual mining news, the official site for MineCon 2011 has opened. The first 500 people to register will be entered in a drawing for the Ultimate Fan Experience: your hotel for the convention will be covered, you'll get VIP seating at keynotes and classes, and perhaps most important of all, a dinner with Mojang.
