Bummer: There will be no Battlefield 1943 for PC

Recommended Videos

For the longest time, the big question for DICE was “Will PC users ever get Battlefield 1943?” The very answer we so desperately wanted was postponed time and time again. Finally, though, we have some closure: DICE has canceled the game in order to work on Battlefield 3.

Unfortunate, if predictable. DICE general manager Karl Troedsson broke the cancellation news, and also revealed that Battlefield: Bad Company 2‘s “Onslaught” add-on won’t be arriving on PC either. Less sad, but still a missed opportunity at any rate.

If nothing else, I’m just glad we can finally move on.
