BREAKING: Stanley Parable dev promises new ‘MMO with poetry mechanics’

BREAKING NEWS THAT IS REAL, NOT A JOKE

Responding to recent reports of Titanfall 2‘s promises for a single-player component that is “science meets magic,” co-creator of The Stanley Parable and director of Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and the Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist William Pugh noted on Twitter:

“yeah and I promise that my next game will be a MMO with poetry mechanics, where’s my article????”

Pugh then directed to a press release for the new project, which is definitely what he is currently working on, as promised, and is by no means me being cheeky and enjoying being at work earlier than usual and having some timezone overlap with the UK.

While I’m not sure how an MMO with poetry mechanics would function, I am cautiously optimistic, and the creativity on display with this mish-mash of genres just goes to show that Pugh really isn’t risk a-verse.
