Bloodborne developer targeting 30fps

When Bloodborne arrives next year on the PS4, it will clock in at 30 frames per second. This is apparently because that rate is the “best” for action games, according to producer Masaaki Yamagiwa. In an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, the developer noted that From Software “weren’t targeting 60fps because it’s not first-person shooting, it’s an action game.”

As someone who has been playing action games for about two decades, I can safely say that 30fps experiences are completely manageable, but I’d of course prefer a slightly worse looking game for that silky 60fps lock.
