As you can see from my banner up there *points to top of blog* Square-Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XIII would be making its way to North America and Europe on March 9, 2010. I'll admit I am a HUGE Final Fantasy fan and I screamed like a little fangirl when Square-Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII was making its way to the Xbox 360. It meant that a poor bastard like me didn't need to spend more money on a PS3. Which is always a nice thing. I'll be honest part of me hoped beyond hope that Final Fantasy XIII would see a US March release but let's be honest, Square-Enix has never been one to release a Final Fantasy US release so soon after its Japanese counterpart. So this is amazingly awesome news!
As always Microsoft is taking this whole Final Fantasy XIII very serious, and they should dammit! Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 is/was a gigantic win for MS. And they are starting the hype early with a special Final Fantasy XIII promotion today. Xbox 360 owners who also also tweet (who the hell doesn't?) can score some exclusive FF related prizes from MS for their 360. http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/splash/f/finalfantasyXIII/
Next year is looking to be one of the best years in gaming ever. Also full to the brim of AAA titles. From third party titles all the way to first party exclusives, 2010 is fucking insane. Just for the first half of the year for 360 owners like myself we have more titles than one person could possibly find the time to play. On my pre-order list so far is Darksiders, Dark Void, Mass Effect 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Dante's Inferno; which just got an awesome new trailer last night. Which you can watch http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-story-dantes-inferno/58969?type=flv
. Come on, you'll like it. It has demons, a dude kicking massive amounts of ass and a hot chick that you have to save. Also having some fantastic music doesn't hurt, so yeah I'm pretty much sold on this game and every gamer that loves action/adventure games should be as well. This is after all Visceral Studios we're talking about here - the guys made Dead Space. Hot damn is early 2010 packed. First quarter next year is the new Christmas... until Christmas that is. Holy shit we're all gonna be drowning in games ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
