Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the winner of the internet: DOOM gameplay with Jump Up, Superstar as the soundtrack.

I got new entries in my 3 of my favorite Nintendo franchises this year (asterisk beside Samus Returns, but new enough for me) and they've all been fantastic. As much as they piss me off sometimes, no one makes games like Nintendo. No one.

I could go try to track down a SNES Classic at local brick & mortar stores or go for a run. I think running will be better for my physical and mental health, so that's what I'm gonna do.

NBA 2K18 is nice to have on the Switch. I don't even like basketball that much, but it made for some fun multiplayer action during lunch at work today.

Started playing Samus Returns on 3DS today. Still excited for Prime 4, but now I really want a new 2(.5)D Metroid badly.

Too many games coming for Switch I want! Odyssey, FE Warriors, DOOM, WWE 2K18, Xenoblade, maybe Skyrim again? And that's just this year. Wolfenstein, Octopath, and Kirby next year. HYPE AF.

*Looks up YouTube video of how to express dog's anal glands* Yeah, no - he's going to the vet for that.

My four year old just came up to me and said "I am the toy man! No one else is allowed to have toys but me! Get out of here with my toys!". Not sure where he picked up that Rick & Morty variation...

No games for me tonight - Voltron: Legendary Defender season 3 dropped today!

I wish game collections had ESRB rating for each individual game sometimes, or internal parental locks. Just got Namco Museum for Switch, and I can only imagine the shitstorm I'll hear if my wife catches our 4 and 6 year olds playing Splatterhouse.

So the SNES classic went up for pre-order at after I'm in bed for the night last night. This is such an irritating trend with Nintendo products.

I think I'd go for a Game of Thrones musou game if it ever happened. The only problem is so many of the key players never set foot on a battlefield. Still, I think they could get a couple dozen playable characters out of that property easily.

I've been playing video games for over 35 years now, and there is NOTHING more satisfying to me than beating a Kid Cobra player with two Slamanders using Master Mummy in ranked mode in ARMS.

The Hori Switch clusterfuck headset is up for pre-order on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Dp/product/B01A0PVN5A/

Haven't seriously played for a couple of weeks, but I finally "get" arms. Was able to smoke Master Mummy, Mechanica & Max Brass in Grand Prix mode, as well as one round against Hedlock before having to call it a night. It makes sense now.

Another 6 month haitus for Berserk, right at a crucial moment in the plot. Even if I live to 90, I am seriously concerned I will died without seing how this story ends.

Time for another big Steam sale - that wonderful time of the year where I become genuinely suprised that I already own most of the games I wanted.

ARMS is like old school Nintendo hard on level 4 and above in grand prix. I felt like I had accomplished something when I finally took down Master Mummy after several attempts, only to get schooled by Spring Man the next fight.

ARMS just arrived a day early. First time I haven't been screwed by Amazon's release day shipping in a long time.

Mario Oddyssey has dinosaurs and Mario can possess people/enemies/objects with his hat. Yep, Nintendo wins E3.

I can't help but notice the overwhelmingly large cross section of Violent Ken players and rage quitters.

Bummed out by Adam West's death. Not only was he the first Batman I was exposed to, but now my dream of Rocksteady doing an Arkham follow-up set in the 60s show universe with him voicing Batman will never happen.

Bubsy is getting a new game, and Samus isn't. Chew on that.

I might actually start maining Dhalsim in USF2. I'm still getting used to his timing/ranges, but I find he really throws people for a loop.

Haters gonna hate, but I'm loving Ultra Street Fighter 2. Maybe it's because I haven't played a SF2 iteration in almost 10 years and have to re-learn it, but it's like I'm playing it again for the first time with all the convenieces the Switch brings.

I really wish Nintendo would bring back their first party sports titles. Ice Hockey, NES Open Tournament Golf and Pro Wrestling spawned a lot of great NES memories. Not to mention NBA Courtside & Ken Griffey Jr on N64.

Floated the idea of taking the Switch with me on a business trip next week to the kids. My daughter says "But... what about me? How am I going to play Mario Kart." Looks like we'll be a multi-Switch household sooner or later. Saw it coming.

About jaygerbombone of us since 5:30 PM on 02.11.2009

I like the vidya games. I've been playing since I was about 2 or 3 years old. Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong were my first loves. I had a top 10 score on Ms. Pac-Man at our local arcade when I was 3, a feat that angered my then teenage brother to no end.

I remember us having an Atari 5200. The only game I remember really playing on it though was Donkey Kong. Maybe Frogger too? I dunno.

Anyways, I wanted an NES really bad when I was around 7 or 8. My parents cheaped out though, and got me an Atari 7800 for Christmas. My mom's reasoning was that games were cheaper, and I'd be able to afford more of the 7800's offering on my meager allowance. The thing was, the 7800 wasn't a bad system in and of itself, but it sucked to hear all my friends rave about the Legend of Zelda while I was stuck playing Food Fight. That I got at Roses for $10. Damn...

Anyway, I saved up my allowance, got a hefty round of birthday donations, and bought the NES my damn self. That's when video games really started to kick ass for me, and eat up my life. Super Mario Bros 3, the CastleVania's, Contra, Mega Man... the NES was (and still is) my favorite system... like, ever.

Current passion is gaming on Linux. Thank you Valve for improving that scene.

Anyways, outside of gaming, first and foremost I'm a dad. I love that my kids are getting old enough to share my hobby with me. Nothing relieves stress like playing a few laps of Mario Kart with them. Also, I like open source projects. I work for one of the larget open source software companies in the world, and love it. I like the clouds, automation, and docker.
