I can't help but have a love hate relationship with what Ubisoft is doing.
They have put out some solid games lately that I personally have sunk many hours into, ie. The Division, Ghost Recon Wildlands. However, I can't help but feel that they have somehow managed to capture the best exerience overall, yet not include it all in the same game.
I loved the Division, for about 30 hours. They made an amazing 3rd person action RPG, and they made it well. The big miss here is the actual multiplayer element. I keep wanting to get back into the game, but I've maxed everything out as have my friends, so the only thing left is a "hard mode" or the multiplayer portion, which is best described as a shit show.
For those that don't know, the multiplayer element of The Division is a free for all, in the "Dark Zone" where you collect random shit and try and "extract" it back to the main game. In theory this sounds great. In reality you have a ton of campers in the dark zone fucking everything up for the rest of us.
In Ghost Recon you have a multiplayer element where you and friend(s) work through the missions together. This is by far the best way to play the game. You get with some pals and work your way through each territory, any way you please. In my case, you make it though as stealthy as possible until somebody fucks up by shooting a fence or just missing a shot on a guard and we go in to full assault mode. Both ways are still fun as hell. As fun as that is, I still feel like we're still missing a part of the game, mainily the part from The Division.
If somehow Ubisoft was able to combine these games and give the RPG elements to the team aspect, I would be, "load in my pants" happy. I only use quotes because, I mean, come on; everyone would shoot in their pants if someone came out with a legitimate team assault game with RPG backing. I don't have enough changes of underwear for something that great. I mean, Destiny was only, okay.
Anyone else having this issue?
