So I was out browsing the internets on this fine day and stumbled upon some Videos of Mario Kart for the Wii, specifically, tracks that are on the DS being played on the wii version. What I noticed was pretty cool.
Watch as Yoshi's cornering, and try to forget the fact that He got a Bullet Bill and DIDN'T USE IT.
Now compare this to the video of Mario Kart DS.
Notice a difference that isn't obviously Graphical?
I noticed that yoshi didn't have to "activate" his spark while drifting, that it automatically sparked. I also noticed that every time he did get a cornering boost, it looked as though they were all time activated.
So what does this mean?
Methinks people who perform the "snaking" on the DS are going to freak, and the people that don't like/know how to do the "snaking on the DS are going to be happy.
Personally, I'm glad that I won't have to suffer from a sore thumb(or carpal tunnel depending on which control scheme) in order to win a race.
