So basically Fall is the time of the year where all the cool people release their games, so they can get money n stuff. There are some big titles, and some little ones. Im going to give some of the Titles I, personally, am looking forward to. HERE WE GO!
Some people have said Rage is Fallout and Borderlands combined, but they are pretty much wrong. Rage is a pure shooter. While it is a post-apocalyptic game, it has almost no RPG elements. It has quests which you get money for, and an inventory system with customizable weapons, but no EXP. Rage also has the character driving around in a car that they can customize themselves. In Borderlands the vehicle system is less for combat and more for transportation. In Rage, the player will be driving around, looking for fights, and racing in races. Rage's plotline is great in the sense that there is a small chance the events in the game are slighty plausible. Scientist precdict that 99942 Apophis, a real asteroid that might come close to earth in 2036, will hit the moon. That would mean the Moon would hit the Earth and bad things would happen, so they cyrogenically freeze a bunch of the best scientist in an underground facility called the Ark, so thay they may rebuild society after the impact. However, It malfuntions leaving only one survivor, YOU. So yea, you gotta go around in the new world created by some friendly and some not so friendly survivors and shoot some guys in the face. Rage looks like a great game and will be arriving on Oct 4 in US and Oct 7 for EU for PC, XBOX360, PS3, and Mac sometime later.
Batman: Arkham City:
Arkham City is the sequel to Arkham Asylum. I personally have not played Arkham Asylum, but I've heard good things about it. Arkham City is supposed to be more open world that Asylum, which is usually a good thing. The enviroment looks amazing. I love games that allow you to fly around on top of buildings and explore beautiful envirements. It also has puzzle elements to it, which is AWESOME. It has an awesome voice cast, and looks to have a great storyline. You can also play as Catwoman. FREAKING CATWOMAN. Who doesn't want to do that. She is much faster and more agile than the big bulky Batman, so playing her quests will offer different gameplay from the rest of the game. Look out for it on PC, XBOX360, and PS3 on Oct 18 in the USA and 21st in EU. Might also be on the Wii U in 2012 or something.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
I love the Elder Scroll series, and when I first saw Skyrim I was ecstatic. The next few months will be hard for me. Skrim takes place 200 years after Oblivion in the country of Skyrim, which is next to Cyrodiil. Skyrim is a cold, mountainous country. The graphics in this game look super amazing. The character models have been greatly improved and no longer have variants of the same creepy face. Great detail has been put into all the Towns/Areas, Enemies, and wildlife. The game adapts to how you use your character, so each playthrough will be different. Everything about this game looks amazing. More cool things have been added, like mining, fishing, and woodworking. Jeremy Soule has been the composer of almost all the Elder Scrolls games, and uses quite, but emotionally powerful music to set the scene of everything that goes on in the game. Skyrim is being hyped quite a bit, but I'm pretty sure it deserves it. Look for this Superb game on 11-11-11 on PC, XBOX360, and PC. Be sure to pre-order cuz this will be out of stock FAST.
So how did I do for my first blog post. I'd love to hear your feedback. Hell, even trolls are welcome to join in.
