Featuring Landstalker and Blues.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
another Sega entry featuring your favourite isometric dilemma, Landstalker for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis (1993). The game where you search a suprisingly minecraftian island for a treasure larger than most castles with three clingy-jealous girls at your tail, one of which is your secondary rival accompanied by her two imbecile henchmen. Oh, and since sex cells I want to use the opportunity to remind everyone of the scene cut in the west where you can find her naked in the bath. Anyways, the gang hat a catchy tune that always plays when they catch up to you (pun intended) in the usually worst possible moment:
I think that this melody is based on a certain classic blues backing. Since I don't know the name instead I give you samples from songs with a vaguely similar progression:
Bill Black Combo - Don't Be Cruel (1960):
Jessie Hill – Ooh Poo Pah Doo (1960):
Chuck Willis - C. C. Rider (1957):
Sunday more David Wise!
