Featuring Zelda 2 - The Adventure Of Link, New Wave and more.
Greetings fellow game music lovers,
it has been a while since I did a Zelda entry, hasn't it? Yet there is so much to do... Anyways, today's topic is a song form the second NES entry, Zelda 2 - The Adventure Of Link from 1987. It's the song that plays in the Great Palace, the last dungeon in the game which is both the longest and hardest to reach. Thankfully, the designers allow you to continue there instead of sending you all the way back to the North Palace. It features a unique melody that is both spooky and mysterious setting up your confrontation which the most powerful enemies of the game (of which one people usually resort to safe-spotting just for having even a remote chance):
First I can offer a track by a new wave band from Japan, with the name "The Plastics". Their self-titled album from 1980 features a song with the title "Top Secret Man" that features this little sequence:
Next I can offer the song "From The Shore" by australian new wave band "Pseudo Echo" from 1984 which features this piece:
Finally we have a song with the title "Vigele Lidele (Cradle Song)", a traditional jewish song that is often played at weddings:
Sunday more Chrono Cross outtakes!
Phil out.
