Here's my #OPtoid Really would've liked more seasons of this but it didn't take off, I think.

Since my latest boardgame kickstarter interest announced a videogame version I figured I'd post about it. If you're into games with emergent narratives and also sci-fi horror in the vein of Alien, check out the links in the comments. KS has 16 hours left

YEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS Demons SOUls! FUCK YEAH

Finished GRIS. Unfortunately it turned out kind of a dud for me. Pretty art style but kinda artsy-fartsy with sluggish/boring/easy gameplay and an that-was-it?-ending. I see the Journey influence but it doesn't come close in terms of quality IMO.

This could be an interesting AMA for the Syphon Filter fans around here. I'm following Rahdo because he has great boardgame content (recommendation!) but he's a (former) videogame developer that worked on the PSone trilogy of Syphon Filter.

PSA: There's a pretty nifty Kickstarter ending soon if you're fans of deckbuilding games like Dominion and such. The game's called Ausonia. It takes place in a fantastical renaissance setting and features quite some deep mechanics. Link in the comment

#songcoverwednesday A day after Adam Yauch died I remember this coming up on the radio in the car. I quickly found a parking spot and just listened to it in complete peace. A great tribute IMO.

Huh, don't know how that happened but I backed like six things on Kickstarter in about two months' time.

FFVIIR impression: Looks and sounds great, combat quite hectic and buttonmashy, not * bad though. I absolutely don't understand Squeenix's obsession with lots and lots of numbers on screen (since FFXII, I guess). Leaning positive but still on the fence.

An FYI for the MTG fans around here: The master, i.e. Seb McKinnon is back with another Kickstarter for limited Playmats. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/help-seb-make-movie/seb-mckinnon-magic-the-gathering-playmats-limited-edition-3?ref=c4h4bq

So, why was everybody so excited about The Mandalorian? Five out of the eight episodes bored the hell out of me, no stakes are felt, so much wasted potential. The other three episodes (1,7,8 btw) were entertaining tho.

So, I borrowed genoforprez's template to list and rank all the games I played in 2019 (excluding multiplayer stuff). Fallen Order really swept in from left field in the end there! Guten Rutsch (roughly from German: happy slipping) into the new year!

To look on the bright side of this entire shitshow, I for one am gonna welcome the Scots and the Irish to the EU with open arms, kisses and beer. Otherwise truly sad day for progressive politics.

Just watched Joon-ho Bong's Parasite in theaters today and it was really fucking good. Great cinematography, on point performances, good pacing and oh so tense moments (a longer midpoint sequence in particular is just *chef's kiss*). Recommend!

It's Octoroktober everyone!

Took part in a study and got an indie game Steam key. I have no idea what game it is, Steam only tells my that I already have the game. So, key in the comments! First come, first serve. Just let me know what game it was.

I know there were rumors and a bit of code-diving about a second season of Soul Calibur 6 DLC but did we get any recent and concrete news on that?

Recently played some Tearaway Unfolded to calm down from RDR2's fiddliness and holy shit, it's "Draw-dicks-on-everything: THE GAME". I'm a having a - quite juvenile - blast.

Just saw John Wick 3 yesterday and man, was that a letdown. People keep falling in front of Reeves' guns with horrible pacing. Why they did abandon the hunted-by-everyone premise after that awesome high-octane intro sequence is beyond me. Huge mistake.

Let's add a bit of positivity to the recent and mostly fair GoT criticisms. I wish all of us a nice finale to an awesome show. Valar Morghulis.

How wasn't this news here?? Curious Expedition is getting console versions AND a sequel (that fucking looks like Tintin no less!). This is a great little strategy-adventure-roguelike game with some nice Verne-Lovecraft influences.

So, in a few hours Frostyflakes and I are gonna duke out the semi finals of BlondeBass's MTG Arena community tournament. And I beat Frosty's Sekiro Platinum by 36 hours (time zone difference applied). Coincidence or sign? ;)

So, I guess, I'm a dad now. :) EDIT: Thanks all of y'all for the kind words. We're super happy. Also tired. Our little boy Nathan is sure keeping us busy. We're slowly getting into the groove though. :)

Saw Perturbator live yesterday and it was amazing!! (not my video) And now I'm heading into town to get Sekiro cause my Gamestop apparently broke street date. Noice.

So, our man Zer0t0nin levels up today! Happy birthday, mate!

Quick question about cblogs: Is it possible to hide a blog but have others access it through the link?

Man, RIP Keith Flint. Only just saw him on-stage in December. Didn't think it would be the last time. :(

The RE2make is incredible so far. Great atmosphere, great gameplay, great RE. This is the direction RE4 should've taken back in the day (for me at least). Finished my first playthrough, LEON A on Hardcore (so good!).

Has anyone here seen GLASS yet? As a fan of the other two movies I found it pretty insulting, to the characters, to the audience, to general intelligence. Opinions?
