Last week on DTD network we discussed how to properly maintain your skateboard bearings, this week we take the time to explain what to do when unexpected guests decide that they are too good to use a damn phone and show up unannounced.
The first key to making sure your house is always ready for guests is to keep your kitchen clean and your pantry stocked. For this particular dish we are going to make it as hands off as possible so that you can go back to entertaining your inconsiderate friends. First take a pork tenderloin out of the freezer and allow to thaw under running water while you prepare a rub for the pork. Take 4 parts brown sugar, 1 part garlic salt, 1 part creole seasoning, and 2 parts cayenne pepper and mix well in a bowl. After the loin has thawed place in a lightly greased casserole dish and begin to rub the rub on the animal carcass. Feel a little sad when you realize the life that was sacrificed for this meal, weep to yourself but not enough so that your guests can see.
Once the rub thoroughly covers the roast, cover with a plastic sheet and then refrigerate for 45 minutes to allow the marinade to soak in. After marinading for 45 minutes turn your oven to 450 degrees and allow the pork to rest in the fridge until the oven is preheated. Throw the pork in the oven and allow to roast for 20 minutes. For a side serve whatever frozen or canned vegetable you have, preferably something with a bit of snap and bite. After the pork is done roasting take out of the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes so that the juices set in. Slice into 1/2 inch slices then serve with your side and a large glass of crisp white wine.
There you have it! Your very own secret recipe to keep on hand whenever friends show up. What? You want video games, fine.
Been obsessing over Rocket League since getting it in the Steam Winter sale, so much so that it keeps me up at night if I play when I get home from work. So I've had to keep it to my daytime playing. For my night time playing I've been playing more soothing games like Mini Metro and Magic 2015. Magic is simply because I miss my friends who I used to play with and bitch about the technicalities of magic to a lot back in Jersey, but Mini Metro is right up my proverbial alley with it being a strategy game that uses minimalist design and ambient soundtracks to create a zen experience until it's not then it's stressful as hell. It's fairly cheap and also available on mobile so I suggest you try it out.
