Introduction to GTA V for the Xbox 360

This is my first blog, I hope you like... why I still like GTA V on my 360...

Even with new consoles on the market, the Xbox 360 is still enjoyed and beloved by many players, especially for games like Grand Theft Auto v. Therefore, it's quite possible that some people are about to buy GTA V on the Xbox 360 for the first time. If you're one of those people, here's a little guide about what you can expect.

GTA V's content is largely the same across all versions of the game, with the exception of some bonus features only available in the newer versions. The last-gen versions are identical. Generally, GTA V's gameplay can be split into two categories: the single player story mode and the multiplayer GTA Online.

Single player GTA V contains both the main campaign as well as a number of side activities, as expected from an open world game. There are three playable characters and numerous activities, along with the set plot missions. Outside of the standard content, there are also cheat codes. GTA V's many cheats can give you vehicles, prevent you from taking damage, change the current weather effects, and much more, depending on the specific Xbox 360 cheat you enter. Cheats can't be used to effectively influence the main gameplay, and as a result they're more there for fun outside of the story. It's a great way to try new things once you've completed the game.

While GTA V cheats add a lot of replay value to offline play through their various effects and the situations they enable, the core of GTA V's longevity can be found online. GTA Online takes the Grand Theft Auto gameplay and turns it into a multiplayer experience, with players from around the world entering Los Santos as their own custom characters. This mode is still supported with regular DLC, such as special holiday updates.

GTA Online also offers strategic, lengthy, cooperative missions you can team up to play. These are called Heists, and were one of the most anticipated GTA features before their arrival. They are single large quests made up of many individual missions, as you prepare for each step of the eventual heist. They require planning and teamwork, and offer decent rewards. GTA Online Heists can be played from the Xbox 360 or any other version of GTA Online. Everything in the online multiplayer mode greatly enhances the GTA V experience.

So there you have it, a basic rundown of what to expect when you start up a copy of GTA V for the Xbox 360. Whether it's single player or multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto v is filled with enough content to keep you sitting at your Xbox 360 for a long time.
