TGIF Open Thread!

Good morning Destructoid! Chrono here to once again remind you it's that wonderful time of the week! It's mother fucking Friday!

Friday the 13th in 2020!!! Noooot sure if that's a good thing or not. Stay safe everyone! Don't have some Final Destination shit happen to you. 2020's not playing games.

This week was pretty good overall. Basically got triple confirmed that I have that new job. Which was weird buuut cool at the same time? I get it. I got it. When can I start? lol. Saw the new office I'll be working out of and I'm actually pretty hyped. I've already worked with half of my new team, the lead included, and I get along great with them so I'm really looking forward to it.

Got the new Xbox Series X! Pretty hyped about it. Only played AC Valhalla on it so far. Which I'm liking buuut totally not used to yet. It just feels really different from Odyssey and I'm not sure if I like the new side quest structure of it yet. The game runs perfectly and is incredibly beautiful, so at least there's that. Combat doesn't feel as good as Odyssey but it isn't bad. I think that's just another part of it I'm not completely used to yet. The load times are really quick and a very, veeerry welcomed addition for next gen.

No real plans this weekend. Coffee maker is taking a shit on me so I ordered another one that's a minor upgrade. Looking forward to it as it's supposed to be arriving tomorrow. Coffeeeeeee! Other then that, chill with the gf and pups, go on a little social distance skate date with the gf and get some more sweet gaming time in.
