So I spent 8 hours today at a PC LAN party playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with 7 other guys. It was freaking awesome. Me and this same group of close friends get together about once every 2 months to do this, and it's always lots of fun. There's nothing better then eating junk food, drinking beer, and blowing your friends away with shot guns and MK-47s while yelling obscenities at them. A great time was had by all.
I also want to say I had a great time last night with my fellow dtoiders playing Gears of War 2 for FNF. To be honest I suck at the multiplayer in that game, and typically get raped online when I try to play it. Because of this I usually don't enjoy myself when I play multiplayer, and hence don't go online much. I had an awesome time last night though playing with members of the Dtoid community though. It didn't matter that I sucked at the game, because everyone was having such a great time just screwing around and having fun.
In this month's bloggers wanted prompt, we want to you talk about the physical places you may or may not appreciate in your daily lives as a gamer. Do you find the quiet monotony of public transportation like a train the perfect routine to always get a game in? Maybe you have a relative's home that brings a familiar and comforting feeling as a place and memory. I was just talking about when I played my 3DS in times of uncertainty in my car, so don't think any place is too small or insignificant to share. It could be a chair you've had for nearly half your life that you always sit on as you boot up your favorite gaming console. It could be the classic dream of a gaming room, filled wall-to-wall with your collection of video games *cough*ChillyBilly*cough* and memorabilia.
