I've handed in my notice and will officially be unemployed on the 24th April. And I couldn't be happier!
It's been pretty shitty at work for a few months to be honest. People I've grown to like have left. I've been shot down for Assistant Psychologist training (literally the only reason I applied for this dogshit job). I'm not allowed to go on night shifts, so I can't even enjoy my shift anymore. And I'm suddenly the guy everyone expects to do everything, because fuck equally spreading the wordload.
It's not worth my time anymore so being unemployed is an improvement. Money is not an issue, I have enough savings for a good while. I just really want a good few weeks (or maybe a few months) off to re-evaluate what I want to do.
That's also why I've not been on Dtoid much recently. I'm networking with people who, frankly, are so outside what I would class my normal circle of friends that they might as well be on another planet. I'm throwing my CV at anything with a face and decent, relevant work. And I've also been hitting the gym super hard (sick gains bro!!!), which has made me quite a lot more energetic.
I guess the point of this is that while quitting a job is stressful, as is the resulting job search and questions from others and all that lovely stuff, focus on the positives. It's a new step into a potentially new career. You have tons of time to focus on family, friends, health. You can finally put a dent in that horrendous backlog of yours!
Being unemployed is great! Kinda! Onto the recaps!!!
*-I love this series of Kerrik52's. While I do understand every complaint and think they are justified, they don't drag the game down at all for me. I even like the Chalice dungeons!...I'm scared for part 3
A-thejamesshow00 reviews Hearthstone's newest add-on, Journey to Un'goro. I've tried Hearthstone on my phone. It was fun but I couldn't figure out how to summon Blue Eyes White Dragon. After sacrificing 12 Pikachu's, I gave up and uninstalled.
What I plan to do as I walk away from work for the last time.
Dat Naoto doe.
