Yep, one week from now I'll leave good ol' Europe behind to find out what life is like across the pond. Everything is ready to go; I've got my passport, visa, plane ticket, hotel reservation for the first few days, a bunch of cash dollars (I've actually never held a dollar before) and everything else you could think of.
I can't actually bring my WiiU with me, so during my 5-month stay in your glorious capital I'll be missing out on Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros. WiiU, at least until I come home in January. That's obviously quite a blow, but at least I'm bringing my 3DS along so I can still get some sweet gaming done. I just bought Bravely Default to keep myself occupied on the plane, and since I'm pretty sure the 3DS eShop will still be accessible as long as I can get wifi there's lots of games to choose from should I ever run out of things to do. Although to be honest I don't think that'll happen even in 5 months.
In this month's bloggers wanted prompt, we want to you talk about the physical places you may or may not appreciate in your daily lives as a gamer. Do you find the quiet monotony of public transportation like a train the perfect routine to always get a game in? Maybe you have a relative's home that brings a familiar and comforting feeling as a place and memory. I was just talking about when I played my 3DS in times of uncertainty in my car, so don't think any place is too small or insignificant to share. It could be a chair you've had for nearly half your life that you always sit on as you boot up your favorite gaming console. It could be the classic dream of a gaming room, filled wall-to-wall with your collection of video games *cough*ChillyBilly*cough* and memorabilia.
